Abstract

This paper is devoted to analyze the potentiality of agroecology, based on the control of local communities in order to confront huge human problems, like hunger and environmental crisis. Several experiences are discussed: the milpa of Mexico, the ANAP of Cuba and MASIPÂG of Philipines. The conclusion is that there are real alternatives face the agroindustrial model that is in the base of many today problems.
