In this article, the phenomenon of housing evictions are addressed with a multidisciplinary focus on a regional and local scale, a quantitative and qualitative work centred on the city of Vitoria-Gasteiz in Alava, Spain. The economic crisis that exploded at the end of 2007 considerably effected the foreclosure and eviction processes and these processes have obligated many people to live in vulnerable situations. In addition, we see that women are over represented, as often seen in declines of living status, vulnerable living conditions and in social exclusion in general but also in the participation in many social movements. For this reason, the present article studies the evolution of evictions and analysing not only the characteristics of the people affected by the foreclosures and the evictions but also their whereabouts after the evictions.
