Abstract

The way of managing public resources has come to be classified as a measure of government effort and commitment towards citizenship. At the present time, and given the constant scarcity scenario, it is essential that sustainable and efficient public spending should be achieved over time, with a view to reducing or eliminating unnecessary expenditures that will save resources and avoid mismanagement. In this document, a qualitative methodology of a descriptive type is followed. Its objective is to address the questions about why, for what and where, from a multidisciplinary approach, about efficiency issues in the management of public resources, highlighting their importance as central axis of the action of the Public Administration in search of the satisfaction of the social demands and the promotion of the well-being and the economic growth
